The Short Version
We do not use tracking cookies. GoatCounter, our analytics tool, is entirely cookie-free. You will not see a cookie banner on PermitPad because we do not need one.
What Cookies We Do Use
PermitPad uses only strictly necessary cookies required for the service to function:

These cookies are essential for you to log in and use the application. They cannot be disabled without breaking the login functionality. They do not track you across websites and contain no personal information beyond a session identifier.
Analytics
We use GoatCounter for web analytics. GoatCounter is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that:
- Does not use cookies
- Does not track individual users
- Does not collect personal data
- Is fully GDPR-compliant without consent
GoatCounter counts page views using a lightweight script that does not set any cookies or use local storage.
Third-Party Cookies
We do not embed third-party tracking scripts, social media widgets, or advertising networks. Stripe (our payment processor) may set cookies on their own domain during the checkout process, but these are not set on permitpad.co.uk.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever need to add cookies beyond those listed above, we will update this policy and add a consent mechanism where required.
