Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 February 2025

1. The Service

2. Not a Safety Consultancy
PermitPad is a software tool, not a safety consultancy. While our permit templates follow HSE guidance (including HSG250), you remain responsible for the accuracy of your risk assessments, the competence of your personnel, and compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation. PermitPad does not provide legal or safety advice.

4. Plans and Billing
- Free accounts are subject to the limits stated on our pricing page.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe.

5. Your Data
You retain ownership of all permit data you create in PermitPad. We store it to provide the service and maintain an audit trail. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
You can export your permits as PDF at any time. If you cancel, your data remains accessible in read-only mode for 12 months.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose

7. Availability and Support
We aim to keep PermitPad available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. Support is provided by email. Business plan customers receive priority support.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crocker Digital Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Intellectual Property
PermitPad, its design, logo, and software are owned by Crocker Digital Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our software or branding without our written consent. Your permit data remains yours.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, after giving reasonable notice where possible. You may close your account at any time by contacting us or using the account settings.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
